ST. JUDE THADDEUS, APOSTLE, WRITER, MARTYR, PATRON OF IMPOSSIBLE CASES:
St. Judas Thaddeus was a distant relative of our Lord Jesus Christ, and he is often shown holding a medal, which has our Lord’s Likeness on it. Very few, if any, Catholics asked St. Judas/Jude Thaddeus to pray for them after his Martyrdom, because his first name was the same as the traitor, judas iscariot’s. When people finally started asking him for help, they were greatly astonished to find that he helped in impossible cases. This is probably why Danny Thomas named his hospital for children after St. Jude. Don’t just pray to St. Jude for his Feast, pray to him often. He also wrote one of the letters in the New Testament. Remember, when you pray Novena prayers, you can always make up your own.
